Thought for the Day

Adam & Estelle Graduate

Today our entire family will be involved in a graduation ceremony.

You see my son Adam is getting married.  At the graduation ceremony he will leave his single status behind and graduate to being a husband.  His fiancée Estelle will graduate from single status and add to her many achievements the role of being a wife.  Both sets of parents will acquire an extra child and an empty room.

During this ceremony, promises will be made, hands and hearts will be joined and in (one) laws will be mysteriously created.

I must confess that, when I brought this 9lb 5oz baby home from the hospital, I didn’t think much about this day, but now here it is a reality.  The scripture says, “It is not good for man to be alone” meaning –on his own, no one to relate to, to speak into his life, bring influence to bear, without companionship.  He is also unable to reproduce on his own – not just in having children, but his wife becomes the agent through which he increaMarriage is an institution of further and higher education, which will require the use of every skill ever learned in life.  Certificates will also be awarded on the first day of the courseses and multiplies. The wife becomes the completion of the husband, not his competition or his rival but his counter part.  Within marriage this may vary but the aim is unanimous.

Two are better than one because there is an exponential increase in their power and anointing.  So as my son Adam takes his bride, I stand in agreement with God’s plan, therefore shall a man leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh.

I pray for increase in every area of their lives, in their ability, in their creativity, in their self-confidence and self-esteem.  I pray for financial increase, health and strength as they move forward into their God ordained future.

Bless you, Adam and Estelle.
